Who we are & where we are
Alan Cryer Fine Furniture is a family business run by husband and wife Alan and Lynn Cryer together with their team of skilled craftsmen. Based 10 minutes from Harrogate in the open countryside in beautiful Nidderdale, it is an idyllic setting for the making and display of hand crafted furniture.

Our workshops
The workshops have been purpose designed and built allowing us to produce high quality furniture. Our central heating systems are computer controlled and operate 7 days a week 365 days a year to ensure that all timber in stock and any items of furniture being made or polished, are held at a constant temperature and humidity. This ensures our customers will not take delivery of a piece of furniture that may later shrink, warp or develop splits.

Our showrooms
We recommend you visit our purpose built showrooms where you can view the furniture in room sets and fully appreciate the design and quality. We are very easy to find and have ample car parking. There are no high pressure sales people and you may browse at leisure. Should you need advice or guidance, we are only too pleased to help.

Take a short break
If you do not live in our locality, why not link your trip with a short break in our vicinity, there are many places you can visit. To name but a few:- Harrogate a spa town, great for shopping, or explore the beautiful countryside of Nidderdale. Visit the National Trusts most visited attraction in the country, Fountains Abbey just 3 miles away, also visit Ripley Castle which stood the onslaught of Oliver Cromwell. All are within 10 minutes drive from us. Alternatively venture further afield with a 45 minute drive to York and walk its medieval streets, or Haworth the home of the Bronte sisters.
